A digital rebound hammer is a nondestructive testing instrument based on the rebound principle, primarily used for rapid on-site evaluation of the compressive strength of concrete structures (10–100 MPa).

The instrument utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction to conduct scanning measurements of rebar position, concrete cover thickness, rebar spacing, and rebar diameter within concrete structures.

The instrument is used to measure the thickness of concrete structures such as floors, shear walls, beams and columns, as well as non-magnetic media such as wood and ceramics.
